So much debate has already taken place on this issue. And rightly so. It is quite likely the single largest issue of our day. But to this day, the war continues. So does the suffering of the Iraqi people, and that of our troops and their families. What can be done to change this?
Do we pull our troops out and leave the region to be dominated by Iran? Do we continue our occupation of a foreign country and by our very presence make it an unstable breeding ground for violence?
These are the questions.
Together, we must find the answer!

To start of, why do we call it "the War in Iraq"? Are we fighting the Iraqi government? Of course I can understand why the American people are against the "war" in Iraq as most people would be against a war anywhere in the world. Do you think American sentiment will be different if we called it "the Peace Keeping Effort in Iraq"?

From what I understand, the Shiites are killing the Sunnis and vice-versa for control of the country. We are NOT fighting the Iraqi government thus I think the use of the term "war" may be inappropriate. When one ethnic group is trying to eradicate another ethnic group isn't that considered "Ethnic Cleansing" or "Genocide", and the American government is working with the Iraqi Government in an attempt to keep the peace between the two factions?

Point is I don't support a "War" in Iraq, but I do support the "Peace Keeping" effort in Iraq to prevent genocide from occurring.
